February 2017 Photos

Remember last October's 30th Anniversary Bus Trip to Michigan's Thumb? Lynn Fraze took along her camera and at February's Guild meeting, gave us a great slide show. She put it on a DVD and copies are available from Lynn for $10. Here's a sample of her excellent "wildlife" photography.

Great show, Lynn. Thank you!

Shown and Tell -- with a special Quilts of Valor salute!
Saturday, February 4 was National Quilts of Valor Day. Our chapter of Quilts of Valor celebrated with a 6-hour work bee at the Boyne City Library. About 20 sewers attended producing 4 finished tops and 12 more that went home with various ladies who pledged to finish them at home. Many of those were done in time to show off at the February meeting. We'll start with a salute to those tops!

This Giant Star quilt top is made from materials most quilters have at home. Requires 8 fat quarters, about a yard and a half of background and fabric for borders. Work in patriotic colors. Contact Tresa Keys for more detailed instructions.
